“ The food and service were great! We had oysters on the half shell and roasted oysters for appetizers (which were both amazing) and my husband had the duck confit and I had the swordfish. My husband said his duck confit was one of the best ever and my swordfish was incredible. The service by Alex was wonderful! ”

“ Gabrielle is the fine dining restaurant located in The Hotel Bennett on King Street in downtown Charleston. This was a last minute reservation for a party of 6 and the Maitre D’ was exceptionally gracious in welcoming our group. The cocktails were innovative and refreshing. My husband and I ordered the Caesar Salad which is a favorite. The server offered to split it for us, which we appreciated. This was the perfect start to our dining experience. I ordered the Maine Scallops and my husband ordered the Swordfish along with a shared side of the pureed potatoes. Both entrees were prepared to perfection, although my bernaise arrived late and was a bit too thick for my taste. We also shared a bottle of the 2020 Duckhorn Merlot. Dessert was called Citrus and the fragrance was heavenly as it was served. Quite lovely and inventive. ”
“ We stayed at the Hotel Bennett and ate at Gabrielle for brunch and breakfast multiple days, plus had pre-dinner drinks one night. Each time was better than the last! The breakfast and brunch dishes were carefully curated with unique ingredients to surprise your taste buds! I tried the avocado toast, three egg omelette, berry bowl, a latte, regular coffee, and Aperol spritzes and everything was delicious. Service was top of the line and incredibly accommodating. Tip: eat outside on the patio if it’s warm, beautiful way to enjoy breakfast and start your day! I will miss this place every morning! ”
“ Celebrated our 34 wedding anniversary and was not disappointed! From hostess to wait staff we had a great experience. The filet was better than what we’ve had at Halls Chophouse and the oysters Rockefeller were delicious. Kudos to the staff and chefs! ”
“ All the service was great from entering the hotel to leaving. Athlia was pleasant and attentive keeping the coffee cups full and making sure if we needed anything. Christmas decorations were great. Make sure you see the gingerbread house, 320 pounds of gingerbread and 120 pounds of icing. It also smells delicious. ”
“ First time dinning here! We love the ambiance of the setting. The oysters were fresh (smaller on the size but definitely very fresh). The octopus with the potatoes were amazing, the meat was not chewy but melt right on the tongue, and the seasoning of the potatoes was excellent. Short rib- was also great, the meat was tender and juicy. I love the asparagus but minus the extra peanuts sprinkled on top, it was a bit too much. Macaroon was also yummy. The espresso martini is a must, it was creamy and splendid. ”
